"Chain Link", 2012. Digital image - output variable.

This image is an empty signifier. Here appearing as a flag, its presence is meant to provoke questions and thoughts about narrative, political or personal conviction. The chain as an icon is loaded with meaning and here, as a segment, its ambiguity begs the viewer to participate by imposing their own personal / political stance and narrative interpretation of its meaning. Its intention is to invite a freedom to wonder.

"Chain Link" was exhibited at "The Front Line", 11th DMZ Outdoor Installation Art Festival, organized by Seokjang-Ri Art Gallery, DMZ Korea. The works in "The Front Line" were exhibited as digital images printed as flags.
